Tip us
Seen something we should cover, correct, or look into? Send us a tip. We welcome story leads, local news, community updates, and factual corrections.
How to contact us
Email: info@movira.uk
Please write a clear subject line (for example: “Tip: Road closure on High Street” or “Correction: Date in article about…”).
What makes a tip helpful
- A link to the page, post, document, or video you’re referring to.
- What happened in 2–5 sentences, in plain language.
- Where and when (location, date, and time).
- Source details: who said it, where it was published, or who witnessed it.
- Why it matters: who is affected and how.
- Your relationship to the story (e.g., resident, organiser, business owner, eyewitness).
- How we can verify it: names, public records, official statements, or contact details for relevant parties (if you can share them).
For corrections
If you believe something we published is wrong or missing important context, please include:
- The article link and the specific section that needs attention.
- What is incorrect and what you think it should say instead.
- Evidence (a reliable source link, document, screenshot with context, or first-hand details we can check).
- Your contact details in case we need to clarify anything.
Documents, photos, and screenshots
- Send original files where possible (not just compressed versions from messaging apps).
- Tell us who created the material and when it was taken or written.
- Include context: what the image or screenshot shows, and where it came from.
Privacy and safety
Only share information you are allowed to share. Avoid sending sensitive personal data about private individuals unless it is essential and clearly in the public interest.
If you’re concerned about your name being published, tell us in your email. We will treat your message with care and discuss next steps with you.
What happens after you email
- We review tips and may follow up with questions.
- We may not be able to respond to every message, but we read what you send.
- If we publish a correction, we aim to be clear about what changed and why.
